Is it far better to live a life of separateness, than to suffer the compromise of false and harmful relationships?  Perhaps being particularly choosy about one’s associates and acquaintances is a far better price to pay than to hold onto insincere and destructive companionships that lead nowhere or settle into constant distraction.  Too many people place their expectations of others on a level of morbid judgement of the past, without the knowledge and understanding of true change and forgiveness.
